E.S. Wagner Company is proud to be celebrating 75 years in the construction business in 2022. Originating as a partnership between Lewis F. Wagner and Lewis E. Wagner, the father/son duo started with one single axle dump truck and a commitment to never compromise on what is right. That foundation in 1947 started a business that would grow steadily under the eventual leadership of Lewis “John” Wagner, and today E.S. Wagner employs over 600 people, creating a footprint of business that stretches from Michigan to Alabama with offices in Ohio, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

John C. Wagner, the 4th generation of Wagner family leadership in the business, said, “Part of the pride we feel in celebrating 75 years as a company is that we still do business today the way my grandfather and great-grandfather intended. Honesty and integrity still work, and I am confident this will be true in another 75 years.”
