Challenge
Overcome wetland restrictions, archaeological sensitivity constraints, and a late season notice to proceed to rapidly deliver the largest of its kind midstream shale fractionation processing facility
Solution
After being contacted by the Owner for suggestions to reduce cost and save time, ESW responded with creative value engineering and mobilized massive resources that accelerated the complex, large‐scale site preparation of numerous processing pads and a ten-track rail yard, completing the project ahead of schedule in a demanding speed-to-market environment.

Project Scope
E.S. Wagner supported a phased development of this facility in Scio, Ohio, delivering complex earthwork and infrastructure within a wetland- constrained site. The project required innovative planning to maintain zero impact to protected wetlands, including the in-house design and installation of a temporary steel bridge to provide site access before permit approval. Despite delayed wetland permitting, E.S. Wagner accelerated the schedule using increased resources, value engineering, and multi-shift operations, completing critical earthwork weeks ahead of schedule.
