Site optimization and environmental compliance for a previous oil refinery waterfront brownfield site.
Solution
Delivered mass earthwork to ensure a stable foundation for the towering new facility within a tight schedule. Constructed a comprehensive stormwater management system and necessary water distribution improvements.Completed extensive road & rail improvements.

Project Scope
E.S. Wagner delivered a large-scale site development project at the Toledo Hot Briquetted Iron facility, encompassing extensive earthwork, utilities, and infrastructure improvements. The project included site grading to establish a stable foundation for plant operations. Comprehensive utility installations supported site functionality, including storm and sanitary sewer construction, along with water infrastructure, natural gas distribution, electrical infrastructure improvements, and sitewide power and lighting systems. Additional work included road construction, railroad track installation, cofferdam construction, and environmental remediation, including spent lime relocation and disposal.
