E.S. Wagner Company builds more than infrastructure. We build community.

At E.S. Wagner Company, we build more than infrastructure. We build community.

We were proud to partner with the Sofia Quintero Art & Cultural Center to support the creation of a striking public mural featuring renowned artist Frida Kahlo in Toledo’s Old South End. Completed in 2019 by students in Bowling Green State University’s mural painting program, the artwork serves as both a cultural landmark and a symbol of community pride.

The Frida Kahlo mural was one of several community art projects supported through a donation from E.S. Wagner Company to the Sofia Quintero Art & Cultural Center. The funding helped advance public art initiatives throughout the neighborhood in Toledo’s Old South End during the I-75 corridor reconstruction, led by E.S. Wagner.

The mural was painted by a team of approximately 20 Bowling Green State University students under the direction of Senior Art Lecturer Gordon Ricketts.

Large mural of Frida Kahlo painted on a brick building in Toledo's Old South End as part of a community public art initiative supported by E.S. Wagner Company and the Sofia Quintero Art & Cultural Center.
